There is much information available pertaining to how to mark your equipment. Each will offer different benefits and downsides. Many are customizable and versatile as permanent labels for fishing gear. There are several companies that produce these as well as the option to produce them oneself.

Many find that they only need to mark some of the equipment that they use. This can include the pole, boxes for hooks and lures, bags, and any tools that they may carry. This allows for more options when looking at the different ways to accomplish this task. Many will look to having the markers printed by a retailer or look at printing them personally. Each offers many different benefits and drawbacks.

Depending on what and how much one has to label, it is common for one to check into having them printed at a print shop. With many different retailers offering this service both online and locally, one will have to consider the different prices and minimum ordering requirements. It is common for these retailers to also have different options in customization, availability, waterproofing, and time to completion.

It is not unusual for these retailers to have a large amount of customization options available. With options that range in color, size, font, shape, and amount of information allowed, it is possible to fully personalize them. It is not uncommon for some options to raise the cost or cause the overall design to change slightly, it does provide many options for the consumer.

There is a permanent option for larger or stronger material to be engraved. This is a good option for poles, boxes and tools. There are many different shops that offer this option as well but may require that the equipment be dropped off or left overnight in order to complete. It does still provide many customization options but can cost a little more.

Many have found that the budget friendly option of making them at home can be a good choice. One only needs minor equipment like a computer and printer in order to accomplish this task. This is a good option for those who need the markers on a smaller scale but is limited to the persons own ability and time.

There are other options available but they are limited in what they can be used on. Embroidery is a good choice for bags and other fabric items. Travel tags are also available but can be cumbersome, and there is always the permanent marker, however it can smear and smudge or wear off after time. However, depending on the item, these can be considered.

There are many different choices available for marking your equipment. Many will consider several of the choices before making a selection. There are many different options available for one to customize or personalize these. They will commonly have a wide range in price as well as durability. Many consider the equipment itself before selecting a particular version as well as the amount of use it will receive.
