How To Select The Most Tactical Paintball Gear

By Jaclyn Hurley

There is nothing to stop anybody, whatever their skill level is, enjoying paintball. However, if you want to be successful you have to include stealth within your tactics. To do this you have to ensure that it is not easy for your enemy to see, or hear, you as you move about the terrain.

One of the main ways that you can improve your chances of survival at paintball is by selecting the correct tactical paintball gear. What you wear, and the weaponry you choose, can play a big part in keeping you safe. It is very difficult to get hit if you cannot be seen, or heard, by your enemy.

When selecting protective clothing there are a few things you should consider prior to purchase. The terrain that the game is going to take place on should be noted, that way you will be able to choose camouflage gear that will work efficiently. It is possible to get camouflage material that can conceal you whatever the terrain is. Also consider the sound the material makes when you move, get something that does not rustle. The same goes for boot selection, get some with the rubber soles.

When you have kitted yourself out in suitable clothing, you will have fulfilled part of the three main elements you need. You have made yourself difficult to see, and your movement will be difficult to hear. However, you could ruin this all by choosing the wrong kind of weaponry.

The first consideration you must make is that will it be comfortable to carry for any length of time. Then, make sure it is of a size and color that can be easily hidden away. You should also think about the noise it makes when it fires, and this can only be found out by testing it. If it is very noisy, experience paintballers will be able to locate your position.

The ability to move about the area stealthily not only has the advantage of not being heard by your enemy. It allows you to hear what is going on about you, and spot any strange sounds. This makes it easier for you to locate the positions of your enemy by the sounds that they make as they move about.

It will not take you long to realise how advantageous it is to be able to get around the terrain very quietly. With a bit of practice you will be able to creep up on your opponents without them being aware that you are close. However, you should not get overconfident, as this could be your downfall if they have also invested in tactical paintball equipment.

For an enjoyable, and successful, time at paintball, you should spend a lot of time selecting the correct tactical gear. This is critical, as it will help you stay hidden from your enemies, both visually and audibly. Combining the most suitable camouflaged and quiet clothing with the correct weapon, they will not know who is firing at them, and from where.
