The work of a qualified train the trainer CNA instructor is to teach students taking nursing assistant training courses. He must be a registered nurse who is able to do lesson preparation, assessment of the student and relevant record keeping. The possible places where this professionals works include community colleges, career training institutes and private health institution. These professionals usually hold an associate degree or a bachelor degree in nursing. He also has to go through an additional requirement of at least 2years on the job experience in the capacity of a registered nurse. Here are some qualifications for professionals interested in this career.

The first step is to become a registered nurse. If you want to work in this field you have to be a registered nurse first. There are two ways of achieving this, one is to go through a 2-year associate degree program in nursing or a 4-year bachelor of science in nursing program. These programs are offered at nursing schools and community colleges.

Registered nurse training involves attending of theory classes in lecture rooms. The program will also require you to work in a laboratory setting to be able to get the practical experience in some science courses before you start working directly with patients. It is a requirement to go for clinical rotations in different departments and at various health care facilities before you finish the program.

As a registered nursing student you are required to learn how to provide patient care to people of all ages. The courses are more focused on adult and elderly care in addition to mother and new born care. The program will also include nursing ethics where you learn how to protect the privacy and wellbeing of the patients.

To be able to work in this field, you have to get a license after graduating from an eligible nursing school. The process of attaining a license involves undertaking a national council examination and after you have passed then the license is granted. Licensing requirement differ from one state to another so there is a possibility to have other special requirements besides the examination which you have to pass before you can get the license.

Before you can start performing teaching duties, you must have worked at the level of a registered nurse in a health setting. The experience required is for at least 1 or 2 years. This is because effective teaching will demand that the instructor prepares himself well before delivering the materials to the learners. The teacher is also expected to have gone through a train the trainer certification course. This is in most cases a federal requirement for certified training programs. The course usually runs for approximately 15 hours or more.

A certified nursing assistant teacher helps his student by providing them with theoretical and practical skills so they can be able to perform well in their examination as well as to enable them to do their work effectively. Due to technological advancements there are many new and better techniques used in the medical field today. So the teacher should keep himself updated on these changes.

The last step after going through the train the trainer CNA instructor program is to obtain employment after you have also met all the special requirements set by your state. Employment can be sought at any nursing care facilities, local community college and even municipal health colleges. Some vocational-technical and high schools centers can also be good avenues to use when looking for employment.
