Riverton Wyoming Hotels For Yellowstone Travelers

By Marla Mills

It's no big surprise that Riverton Wyoming hotels are almost always full up or close to it. It's mostly because of the fact that it is the main gateway city into Yellowstone National Park, and gets an enormous amount of thoroughfare. Not to mention the fact that it is the largest city in the middle of the massive half-million acre zone that was historically within the Wind River Indian Reservation.

Its location and size makes the city the epicenter of the outdoor paradise that is Wyoming's Wind River Country. It helps that Riverton is located alongside the scenic Big Wind River. It's quite easy to find a good place to stay here, depending on where the traveler is coming from and going to.

The largest set of visitors is comprised of those on the way to Yellowstone and those on the way back from the national park. Some of them are simply on the road to enjoy the famously scenic route. Others want to spend time on recreational activities that are popular in the region, such as hot-air balloon rides and Boysen Reservoir fishing trips.

These drivers on US-26 or State Highway 789 have two simple choices, in terms of choosing a hotel. There is one set on North Federal Boulevard, and another one on East and West Main Street. The two roads intersect at the city center, so both locations are just as convenient for those already within the city.

Both places are ideal for visitors stopping overnight or staying over for a few days while they explore the natural beauty and attractions in the area. Most hotels here are family-friendly establishments offering family suites and all kinds of amenities and facilities that make life easy and just like home for couples and their children. They are also more likely to be pet-friendly, although it's best to confirm this while booking.

In-room amenities that are usually available include cable TV and telephones. Access to swimming pools and Wi-Fi Internet is to be expected, along with facilities such as RV parking, laundry and fitness centers. An onsite restaurant normally takes care of room service requests, coffee and tea, continental breakfasts, etc.

Some among the many people who come here are tourists looking around at the local sights and attractions in the Wind River Country. One of these heavily visited tourist hotspots is Sacajawea's burial site on the Indian Reservation. Many visitors spend a lot of time and money in the casinos. Thousands of people flood the city every now and then for one of the many festivals and fairs that Riverton hosts each year.

For all these visitors, the best choice is one of the Riverton Wyoming hotels that are located at or near the city center. The properties here offer everything from business centers to conference and meeting rooms with A/V equipment. No matter which hotel visitors choose, the one thing that is certain is that it will be a highly comfortable stay and a memorable and enjoyable trip.
