Nothing Compares To Roger Federer's Prime In The Field Of Tennis

Roger Federer is an excellent tennis player celebrated by a lot of fans and tennis enthusiasts as well. He truly deserve such praise considering the number of times he gained trophies, awards and accolades in Tennis over the years. Based on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) which is a professional organization that secures the privileges of male tennis players, his world ranking is at third place. Federer has already been in the best three seeded players in the ATP for the past decade of his career. In link to that, sports officials and experienced tennis players looks up to him as one of the most skilled players in existence.

Roger Federer is a citizen of both Switzerland and South Africa, having been born in August 8, 1981 to a Swiss father and a South African mother. As a kid, he had already shown great interests in the field of sports and played basketball, badminton, football, and cricket. According to him, this early exposure to different sports has helped him boost his hand to eye coordination and swiftness, important skills that have made him excel in tennis.

During his junior years in tennis, Roger Federer already exhibited what a formidable player he is. Despite his loss in the 1998 US Open, he triumphed in the Wimbledon Cup under the singles and doubles tournament division. It was also in the year 1998 that he was positioned on the number one spot for winning other tennis tournaments back in his junior years. Then, he began his professional career within the same year.

His success as a professional male tennis player happened in 2003, when he triumphed in the singles in Wimbledon against Mark Philippoussis. Also, it was in the very same year where he won 7 finals in the ATP tour and ended the year by beating Andre Agassi. This winning streak brought him to the number 2 spot. The following years continued to make his name notable in the world of tennis where he singlehandedly conquered many world tournaments such as the French Open, Australian Open, US Open as well as Wimbledon. The following are a few of the listing of achievements he gained over the years of his tennis career: ITF World Champion in Men's Singles from 2004 to 2007; ESPY's Best Male Tennis Player from 2005 to 2010; ATP's Player of the Year from 2004 to 2007 and again in 2009, ATP Fan's Favorite Player from 2003 to 2012 etc. Roger Federer already got the world top place several times surpassing Pete Sampras records in doing so.

He can move from the opposite of the court with amazing agility and speed where he makes use of his forehand for backhand shots from his challenger.
