Other Effective Techniques Used For Women Self Defense Besides Boxing Vancouver Martial Arts

When alone, a woman is likely to be attacked due to her vulnerability. However, this does not mean that as a woman you will always have company. Women are now learning boxing Vancouver martial arts, and there are other basic women self-defense techniques as well as available tools that one can use in case they feel at risk of an attack.

There are some things which you should avoid because you do not know where the attack might come from. For example, you should avoid walking at night because you do not know the direction which the attacker may emerge from and even if you know how to defend yourself you can be caught unaware. In such a situation you should be confident and make the person know that you are aware of his presence. Use techniques to scare the person like you can call a friend or a family member.

When someone wants to attack, the hair is usually a target because it will weaken you. So when you are sure someone wants to attack you, ensure your hair is not loose. You can cover your hair or tie it properly if long, the logic is to give the attacker a hard time reaching it then by that time you will have acted.

In a situation where the attacker knowingly stops you, the effective method you can use to defend yourself is by hitting the attacker in the sensitive parts of their body with all your strength. When you do this, they will pull back due to the pain and give you a chance to run from the scene.

In other cases, women need to have some skill so as to be able to protect themselves. One of the best ways to learn is taking the taekwondo techniques. When you take these classes, you improve on your flexibility, speed, faster reflex, strength and body coordination. With those skills, you will be able to defend yourself from attackers no matter how big and strong they are. This training also enhances your alert and will be able to detect someone from afar and be aware.

Another martial art technique you can learn is aikido. This is very common for women because it does not involve extreme physical strength and movement. Through this technique, one learns how to use their strength to stop the attacker. The principle behind this technique is to use the strength of the attacker against him. The classes involve lessons on mental alertness, flexibility, endurance and being alert as a form of protection rather than using excessive strength.

The other martial art technique you can learn is Kray Maga. The objective of this technique is to protect a woman or any other person from attackers who have weapons like knives or guns. It is a mixture of various martial art techniques like judo, karate, and taekwondo. Through this form of techniques, you can attack your enemy at their weakest regions and quickly disarming them.

There are other simple methods which you can use to protect yourself from an attacker. You can carry a pepper spray in your bag to use in spraying the eyes of the person. You can also make sure that you carry a whistle in your bag for it will help to alert people of an attack. Be sure that the things are in perfect condition before you purchase them.
