Browning Gun Safes Offer Feature Rich Security

By Matt Arnold

Browning has been producing gun safes for the past 30 years. They have vastly expanded the number of models, features and colors available. Any owner can create a Browning gun safe that both fits his specific needs and offers excellent security. Currently, Browning safes come in a variety of series: The Pro Series, Sporter Series, and Tactical Mark III Series.

The New Pro Series with patent pending MAX bolts is an exceptionally secure safe. These bolts offer 12 times more surface area contact with the frame, giving them 4 times as much strength as traditional round bolts. Pinnacle and Prestige models also feature a locking mechanism that takes one-third the effort to turn than a standard safe. Pro Series safes are rich with the best Browning features.

Sporter Series safes are for entry-level buyers. They are made from 12 gauge steel, have 1 inch locking bolts, a patented Force Deflector Locking Mechanism, and have reinforced door frames. These features combined offer amazing security. An optional electronic lock is available. Lastly, Sporter series safes have DPX Storage patented by Browning. DPX Storage expands the amount and convenience of space available.

Tactical Mark III (or MP) Series safe are also made of 12 gauge steel. The fire protection rating goes up to 1200 degrees and 45 minutes. The MP series comes in a 23 or 33 cubic foot size. The DPX Storage system uses loops for standard length rifles and shotguns and additional lower loops to hold tactical shotguns, modern sporting arms, and carbines.

Browning is a leader in innovation. Its first innovation's were in providing optimal security. Specifically, doors were made difficult to bend or pry by increasing the door's rigidity. The bolts were made immovable when hammered by introducing a vault type cam lock. Force to the bolts goes to a cam rather than the locking mechanism. Lastly, fire protection increased by layering insulation and eliminating gaps.

Browning has also innovated storage capacity. The most noteworthy advancement being the DPX storage system which stands for Duo-Plus Extra storage. DPX storage allows for storing both handguns and long guns on the back of the safe door. Plus, pouches and pockets allow for storing small valuables on the back of the door with additional guns.

Browning also offers an exclusive feature to protect optics mounted on long guns. The DPX Scope Saver protects optics by allowing you to store guns inside the space of the door. This both opens up more space inside the safe and ensures that time spent sighting-in a scope isn't wasted.

Lastly, Browning offers one of the most advanced shelving systems, AXIS Adjustable Shelving. These shelves can be adjusted vertically and horizontally which maximizes flexible use of the interior. Traditionally, shelves have been fixed in position or limited to only vertical adjustment. Axis adjustable shelving is available on all premium Browning ProSteel safes. Additional shelves can be purchased to convert some other Browning models to an all-shelf interior.

As you can see, Browning gun safes are way ahead of nearly any competitor. Most safes cannot begin to rival Browning quality, convenience, and security. With 30 years of innovation they are a company you can count on for keeping your valuables safe.
