NBA Playoff Predictions For Viewing Enjoyment

By Jason Stanfield

For many fans, the basketball post season is the best time of the sport's year. Just about everybody, even the casual follower, gets involved in making NBA playoff predictions. Some seasons, predicting who is going to win is more of a challenge than in other years.

A total of 16 teams make the post season every year. There are 8 teams in each conference. Many critics of the National Basketball association bemoan the length of a regular season. But when the post season begins the increased intensity of play is evident.

As the best teams are left to compete for the championship, there is a better overall quality of play. Players, coaches and fans realize a lot more is at stake. Unlike in the regular season, players seem to show more effort for the entire game.

People who follow the sport seem to pick up the level of interest during this time of year. A post season series gives fans a chance to learn more about the opponent and its players. There may be as many as 7 games for each series. This allows the average fan an opportunity to find out a lot about individual player strengths and weaknesses.

Injuries are part of any sport. An untimely injury could be the difference between winning and losing. These are things that are extremely difficult to predict. One interesting feature of this time of year is seeing how different teams deal with physical setbacks to players.

Once the long regular season comes to an end, fans really start to pay close attention to the National Basketball Association. The athleticism that is on display at this stage is second to none. Some argue that professional basketball players are the best athletes in the world.

There are just so many different factors that go into determining whose NBA playoff predictions are the most accurate. Obviously, one gets a great deal of satisfaction out of predicting that a team will win and then having that prognostication come true. Regardless of the final results, the games are always exciting and entertaining.
