There is gear for every level of paintball player, from the once a month player, to the avid weekender. Lets not forget all of the gear available for the different types of paintball. Woodsball and speedball players have never had so many markers, barrels, masks, tanks, clothing, and even paintball gun stocks to choose from.

Paintball players should be grateful that companies can provide such an awesome amount of stocks. However, with so many options comes a lot of decisions, decisions you the consumer must make to find the right stock for you. With so much to choose from, lets just say finding the right gear can be a difficult process.

To help you on your quest for finding the right stock, here are 3 important questions you should ask yourself before you start looking. Its important you know the answers to these questions so you don't fall victim to impulse buying, which may lead you to get gear you'll never ever use.

1. Do you plan on using a remote? A lot of woods players use coiled remotes to distribute some of the weight off of their marker. If you plan on using a remote then finding a stock will be much easier, as there is a wider range of gas-through stocks available then non-gas-through.

2. What kind of paintball gun do you use? Depending on the brand of paintball marker you use, the number of aftermarket stocks could be higher. Tippmann markers tend to have the widest range of stocks available compared to any other marker. While you can find stocks for markers such as the Angel, it is fairly difficult to find one for most brands of speedball style markers.

3. What style of stock do you want? There are many styles available. You can find T-stocks, collapsible stocks, and foldable stocks. If you have a marker such as a Tippmann, be ready to find a good number of styles available.

Figuring out the answers to the questions above will help you find the perfect stock for you.
