By George Moore

Reptiles are interesting animals to watch especially when one is on vacations. Louisiana alligator tour can thus come in very handy if you are a person that enjoys watching the behaviors of these animals. More so, the population of these reptiles in this state is way more compared to the other states. Thus it can be so exciting to marvel at these inquisitive and fierce creatures.

Due to the natural fear of these creatures, most people tend to run the moment they spot one. On the contrary, these animals are rarely violent, and they cannot harm a person if they are not provoked. Even though they look evil and dangerous, they are good peacemakers, and they cannot deliberately attack a person who has not violated their peace.

These crocodiles possess one of the strongest bites compared to any other living animal, but they tend to avoid any contact with humans. Therefore, it can be so easy to walk around watching them without them even turning towards people. This makes it easy for people who have fear towards them to take a quick look before they run.

This state did not always have such a big population of these reptiles. The community started growing when the wildlife and fisheries department noticed that there was a massive drop in their population due to poaching. These poachers used to kill the animals and sell their skin mostly to the fashion industry. Due to this, conservation programs were started to protect the animals, and their population has grown over the years.

These reptiles are very massive, and they can measure up to fifteen feels in length. They can also live for so many years like 80-90 years. Thus they have a mortality rate that is quite low compared to most animals. The guides ensure that visitors are safe and protected all the time and prevent them from giving the animals any food.

The state of Louisiana is highly visited as it offers very great opportunities to people who like watching reptiles. One can view the gates without as much fear like in the wild because these are enclosed. Also, the guide gives the tourists the history and behavior of the animals making the visit exciting and educative at the same time.

For instance, the animals tend to lurk beneath waters, and they cannot show their whole body. They thus show a small snout and eyes thus it can be quite tricky to spot them. Adventure-seekers will thus find this to be very interesting especially in the wild, but it is not advisable to get too close to them without a guide by your side. This is because the guides know how to control the animals as they have spent a long time with them.

The tour guides have made it possible for many people to visit the crocodiles in this state as the visitors feel at home. This is because most of the guides have mastered most foreign languages so that they can easily communicate with tourists from various states. Also, the guides are welcoming and friendly visiting so unusual for the visitors.
