Tips That Will Make You A Better Golfer!

By Devin Smith

Golf is more than putting a ball in a hole. In order to ensure that each shot produces the desired effect, you should combine both physical and mental acuity and strength. Keep reading for guidance on how to improve your game.

Keep the proper stance. If you feel you are standing incorrectly then try this simple technique: see if you can wiggle your toes up then down without having to move your feet. If you are standing correctly, then it should not be a problem tapping your toes. If too much effort is required, then you are leaning forward too much. If you can touch the ball very easily, then you are back too far.

It is best that you pick a set of club that fits your own game. It wasn't all that long ago that professional golfers use wood clubs. You shouldn't need a titanium club now.

Always start each swing with your feet in proper alignment. This is probably the most practical way to improve swing accuracy. Make sure your feet are lined up perpendicular to whatever direction the ball is traveling. You can check this by placing the club against the tips of your toes. The end of your club should point in the direction your ball will sail.

Snacks are important during the game, but it's recommended to bring something with a high protein value, such as nuts. Golf is a game both physically and mentally exhausting. 18 holes can be a lot so be sure to stock up on protein.

If you think that your swing goes too fast or that you're not getting guidance through the swing from your club head, then you might consider a lighter grip on the club. This can be fixed quite simply by just letting your club head be heavier and so you can feel it more as you swing.

When shopping for golf shoes, try to buy ones that are a little bit larger than your feet. After walking the course all day, your feet expand slightly. Shoes that fit great in store, may very well become uncomfortable in use.

Not all advice applies to everyone, but this article probably gave you at least one new idea that you can put to use to improve your golf game. Try out some of these suggestions! Your golf score will benefit!
