Ah, Football. By the looks of it, it does not seem to be to glamorous. No other bake sale was so full of fun for me. Our final bake sale of 2011 was awesome, may due it being low-key or maybe due to the support of an RV full of people or it could have been due to the cold beer.
Pounding the pavement!
Five minutes was about as long as the table lasted. The lot for RV parking was always barren on our end, so we took our show on the road and did our best for No Kid Hungry. I was a hero with my easy-carry baskets, but he provided a lot of help and muscle. For really embracing the No Kid Hungry Message, we would like to give our thanks to Dave. Yes, I am for real, this money will go to helping hungry children. The kids are very hungry. Don't think I can't back that up! Toasts to the creator of Smart Phones.
Stadium Fringe Benefits.
We brought it on! Whether or not we made it on the tube is another story... Either way, Team No Kid Hungry made it's presence known inside and out of Gillette and hopefully we reached even just a handful of people.
Night's best choice.
That one guy or girl is always at every bake sale I ever attend. Someone who really listens and will leave to make a difference. A brief altercation with a man who was bitten by camel resulted in a chance meeting with him. (blog for another day) was how I met Chad. Not enough good things I can say about the conversation we had, but let's leave it at - this guy gets it! Chad, if you happen across this blog, I hope you make it to Taste of the Nation Boston and can't wait to introduce you to the hubby! 2011 has been a great year from start to finish and we look forward to even greater success in 2012.
