Why Paintball Games Los Angeles Are All The Rage

By Jessie Morris

Paintball is a game that is recreational and is very competitive. It is enjoyed by many thousands of people, and is played by firing pellets at your opponent which are filled with paint. This is an action strategy and war game, and the objective to winning is to capture your opponent's flag. This was first played by the united states marines during basic training, and paintball games Los Angeles is gaining in popularity.

The first modern games featured players that were throwing paint balls instead of shooting them from guns, the paints were oil based and could not be washed off easily with water, this meant that players afterward would have to use turpentine in order to get it off.

There are three main pieces of equipment that the player will need, this includes the shooting device that is used to mark their opponent, and this device has a gas bottle that will propel the balls and a special loader. The paint balls are capsules that contain a special gel and dye, and finally masks which will provide protection for each person's head.

The rules are agreed upon by all before the games begin, and these rules are usually very flexible. However, it typically involves individuals who are trying to eliminate opponents by shooting them an agreed amount of times. When at this point, an opponent will be considered dead and they must leave the playing area and are unable to return.

There are referees that will oversee everything along with keeping up with people that have been tagged. Because these balls could cause abrasions if fired too closely, the rules are going to prohibit shooting within certain distances of an intended target. Continuous firing at rapid rates will also be highly discouraged if using electronically controlled guns.

Many times it is played commercially and the participants must pay an admission fee, others are conducted on private property. The sites usually are made to look like specific environments such as in woods, and in many cases the terrain is man-made and will be designed to look historical.

Always remember if playing, your skill is quite important and you should always be considering where the opponents are located. If caught up in heavy fire, using agility for running and jumping so that you can get completely out of the way will be vital. Always be sure to have all the necessary equipment, and finally remember it's a team effort and a game that is extremely enjoyable and exciting.
